Hey everyone welcome back! To my new blog viewers welcome and please read my other entries. For my faithful readers you may have noticed there was no entry on Saturday.
THIS WAS FOR A REASON!
This is something that many of us forget about on a constant basis is ourselves. I chose to take this weekend for me. Even though blogging may not seem like a stressful process, keeping up with all the entry deadlines and making sure I am writing meaningful pieces that I am proud of takes a lot of my time. I am quickly becoming a wearer of many hats. I am a blessed mother of two, a super cool(if I may say so myself) bonus mom of 2, as well as a girlfriend, an employee, a blogger and a Cofounder and Executive Director of a non-profit organization(My Sister’s Keeper @www.iam-msk.com)
I named all those things simply to say sometimes we have to remember to take time simply to by ourselves. So this weekend I chose to simply be RACHEL. Doing this helped me to actually brain storm so many wonderful ideas for our Mixing Pot Family. As well as get some other things in order for my nonprofit. I was able to increase the connection me and the amazing man I share my life with already have (I'm sure you can imagine how much 1 on 1 time we have with 4 little people from ages 12-6 running through the house).

But most importantly for me taking this time allowed me to acknowledge and prevent myself from making one of the biggest mistakes that Moms, Dads, and Entrepreneurs alike tend to make and that's not doing effective balance and time management. I looked into becoming a “MOMpreneur” so that I could have more time for my family and my children all while doing something rewarding and beneficial for others. My chaotic way of trying to do everything at once was actually becoming overwhelming and I found myself rushing to meet deadlines and not giving all my titles the quality of attention they deserve. So I had to but my life on a diet lol. By a diet I had to learn how to do a little bit of everything in healthy portions by priority. I will let you all know how it worked out on Saturday.
XOXOX RACHEL M.
